little History about the group.
The Suwannee River Boys are no strangers to Southern Gospel
Music. Paul Rhoden the Owner/Manager has been singing
professionally for 35 years. We started out singing at old
brush arbor meetings, campmeetings, tents, homecomings,
churches, fairs and concerts. We never thought we would
grace the stage with so many other well known groups and
travel the miles we have traveled over this country.
The last 35 years have been a joy but not always fun. We
have had our share of heartaches and pain, but though it all
we are STILL BLESSED. The Suwannee River Boys are going
strong and see no retirement in sight. The Boys do about 200
dates plus a year and come Thursdays you can see them in the
gold Eagle bus going down the high way to another venue or
somewhere to sing and minister. Besides being a singer Paul
is also an Ordained Minister of the Gospel. That is why we
call it a Ministry of Word and Song.
I
am proud to Introduce you to the Boys that make it happen.
Dean Banks from Dade City, FL sings Tenor and play bass
guitar. Dean is also on our Board of Directors. Curt Davis
from Panama City, FL sings Baritone and some Lead. Ron
“Scooter” Brown from Palmetto, GA sings Bass and
plays some piano. Jeff “Leroy” Moreland from
Fairburn, GA sings Tenor and does some of the bookings for
the Group. Paul Rhoden is from Jackson, GA and does most of
the Lead singing, some Baritone and Manages The Group.
Paul’s Wife Ruth takes care of the Product Table and prays
hard to keep the Boys in line.
