Hey, I'm Shawn Camp of WV
with Hearts Desire Ministry. I stand on Psalm 37:4-5. It's
all about the Lord placing His desires in our hearts, so we
can fulfill His destiny in our lives.
I've been singing most all my 34
years, but my writing abilities did not come until I truly
gave the Lord my heart. Most of the material I've written
and produced was derived from actual events in my life that
the Lord graciously brought me through. My pastor, James
Wright Jr. of Maranatha Fellowship in St. Albans, WV, says
it best. He believes you shouldn't minister a song if you've
never lived it. I agree. How can I effectively minister to
your situation if I've never experienced the burden? I am a
faithful attendee, and a faithful tither. That's hard to
find in gospel music these days.
I've been writing songs and
ministering for about 8 years. I was born and raised in West
Virginia, where I presently reside. My vision and hearts
desire is spoken through the ministry exclamation cry,
"Touching Hearts To Change Lives---Changing Lives To
Touch Hearts "! It's a chain reaction. I minister in a
variety of styles as the spirit leads. I've written songs
from southern gospel to pop/country gospel, praise and
worship, contemporary gospel, and soulful R&B gospel.
I have been blessed to be awarded
Soloist of the Year at the 2005 Music City Gospel Convention
in Pigeon Forge TN. I have been featured in articles in U.S.
Gospel News, and have three videos in rotation on Music City
Gospel Showcase on the GMT Network and various other
broadcasting network stations. My current CD features all
original songs written and composed by myself and produced
by Frostbyte Records. I am ready to serve whenever and
wherever the Lord calls. Hope to see you soon!!!
