August of 2005, Rev. Jeff Grindle traveled to Hendersonville,
TN, just outside Nashville, to the home of friend Donnie
Sumner. Sumner has appeared many times in the Gaither
Homecoming Video Series and is the former lead singer of the
southern gospel quartet, J.D. Sumner and The Stamps, the group
who for many years backed-up Elvis Presley. He was the
producer and engineer for Jeff’s project, which was recorded
at The Sound Chamber, Sumner’s recording studio. Grindle
recorded four of Sumner’s compositions and other familiar
gospel standards.
Jeff is pastor at Memorial
Baptist Church in Oak Lawn, Illinois. His desire is that this
