Born
and reared in Panama City, Florida, Curt has spent
most of his life involved with music. He plays
drums, trumpet, and bass guitar.
Growing up in a Christian home, his father was the
congregational song leader and Sunday School
Superintendent, while his mother taught Sunday
School and was the
church pianist for many years at Central Assembly of
God in Panama City, Florida. He received his first
instrument at age 3 and put together his first trio
at age 6, all while maintaining his position of
singing with his family group at church and in the
community.
While playing a trumpet solo in the a.m. service of
a youth camp for the Assembly of
God Churches, he felt that God was calling him into
the ministry in some way, but he did not go forward
with the calling.
As an enlisted member of the United States Navy, he
served on the USS Nimitz, where he joined the
shipboard group called “Ships Company.” He
sang bass and baritone, as well as played trumpet
for the group.
“I never was able to shake the calling of God.
Everything I did was trouble,” Curt explained.
Everything I tried fell apart. However, when I
finally let God have full control over every step I
took, things began to change. I now have a great
family, a wife dedicated to God and one that stands
beside me and lifts me up in prayer daily to
the Lord. I am an active member of Galilean Baptist
Church where I lead the congregational singing and
sing in the choir.”
Curt most recently sang baritone with the
“Suwannee River Boys” out of Jackson,
Georgia. They had great airplay of their single
release to national radio, “He’s Still in
Control”, which featured him.
“I am real excited about what God is doing in
my life through His ministry and allowing me to be
part of it. I look forward to sharing my song
ministry with you in your church or special event.
Please let me know if I can share the talent which
God has given me.”
Thank You and God Bless!
