The Capstone Quartet – a ministry comprised of four talented
Christian individuals with an insatiable desire to share
Jesus Christ and the message of salvation through Southern
Gospel Music and testimony. The Capstone Quartet – a
group of four striving to reach the final effect, the
highest point possible in serving Jesus.
The Capstone Quartet was formed on 1992 and has performed in
an array of venues across the nation ranging from churches
and auditoriums to town festivals and massive
coliseums. With their radio single “Call
Home” rising to #67 on the Singing News Chart and to
#43 on the U.S. Gospel News Chart in the year 2000, their
sound is not new to the gospel music industry. Their
latest release “It’s The Cross That Carries Me”
comes from the quartet’s latest project entitled “One
Prayer At A Time” and was released through Homeland
Records in 2004. This song features Capstone founder
and bass singer, Joe Brown, on the lead vocals and contains
the powerful message pertaining to living the Christian
life. All who have accepted Christ as their Savior can
relate to this song personally.
The Capstone Quartet has undergone several changes
throughout the years, but one thing that will never change
is its commitment to carry the Gospel wherever the Lord may
lead. The current edition of the group consists of
Dale Taylor (tenor), Bob Sellers (lead), Jimmy Latham
(baritone) and Joe Brown (bass). These four men are
collectively and individually committed to The Capstone
Quartet ministry to share a common bond in trying to win
lost souls to Christ. Capstone fans across the country
agree the quartet’s sound now is the best it’s ever been,
and that experiencing a worship service with them is more
exciting, more uplifting and most importantly, more
spirit-filled than ever. This ministry is
Christ-centered, and the individuals involved want it to
remain as such, giving Him all the honor and glory for any
amount of success they enjoy.
